Samprajnata Samadhi conscious samadhi. The mind remains concentrated (ekagra) on the object of meditation, therefore the consciousness of the object of meditation persists. Mental modifications arise only in respect of this object of meditation.

Object and objectless: The four stages of concentration described in the previous sutra (1.17) were all concentration with object, which is called samprajnata samadhi.
And when this stage of a single vritti alone continues, and no other thought or vritti is felt in the least, then one is said to have attained .
